Welcome to the 3rd Annual Globally-local Art Competition for Kindergarten through 12th grade organized by ARt deCENTRALe, a subsidiary of K J Paulose Fine Arts in partnership with Teen Action Support Center, Rogers, AR, USA. This competition is characterized by both Global and local considerations, hence "G'local". We want to strive towards evangelizing art globally through partners like you while we continue to serve locally where we are planted.

So most of the children who participate and put in your best effort are set up to get a prize!
Please read the rules carefully before submitting for your entries to be considered for prize money.
Practice, brainstorm or train on different ideas based on the theme below as much as you want before November 20th, 2022.
Start painting on your final submission ONLY after November 20, 2022 and submit your entries before deadline at December 4th, 2022 8pm Central US Time Zone. (Read the "What must be submitted section" before painting)
Any entry submitted before November 20 or after December 4th will not be considered for prize money.
Please expect more updates before competition start date.
For Ages 5-12 - Any theme or subject you want can be submitted. Encourage them to draw and paint whatever they like. If they ask for a specific theme - "What makes them happy" is recommended.
For Ages 13-19
Theme - What are you most grateful/thankful for?
What must be submitted?
1) Multiple High Resolution photos of your/your child's art work

2) A time lapse video recording of your child creating the art work must be uploaded on YouTube(privacy setting to private or unlisted if possible) /Instagram/Facebook/TikTok links can also be considered but has to be timelapse showing the child painting the final submission). Example video here:

3) Entries must be emailed to kjfinearts@gmail.com after November 20 and before November 30th.
-Each Entry email must have the following details
a)) Your child's full name
b) School name(If you were introduced to this competition of a non-profit like Teen Action Support Center, write that instead)
c) City
d) Phone number and email address we can contact you with prize money information
e) Parent/Guardian/Teacher or adult representitive's name
Optional Bonus:
Entries could be accompanied by a 30 second video explaining the art if your child would like to do so(Bonus points for presentation).
Deadline - December 4th, 2022 at 8pm US Central Time Zone
Results : December 23rd, 2022 or earlier
Judging Criteria:
1) Material Size(we would like to encourage you to think BIG),
2) Use of Colors(we would like to encourage to play and experiment with more colors),
3) Creativity and Originality(we would like you to think outside the box and add their twist to what they were inspired by),
4) Theme Clarity in interpretation to the viewer(we would like to encourage the participants to also be able to focus their creativity around a particular direction and express it as well as they can),
5) Detail/effort/Technique(we would like participants to know that great effort gets great rewards. no points for sloppy work)
6) Date of creation on the bottom right corner is important. Old paintings or art created before November 20, 2022 will not be considered.
Backup Requirement:
- Winning entries will have to be physically mailed in the art work IF the video recordings or photos are not clear or if required to verify or be exhibited in a local gallery for 1 month. (Will be returned after exhibit)
Artwork Submission details/criteria :
- any material or medium like canvas, panel, wood etc. preferably material larger than 11inch x 14 inch(small paper and smaller materials may not get as much bonus points as for larger materials, unless unanimously approved by panel of judges for exceptional works). Ages 5-12 may submit smaller works on which they are comfortable painting or drawing on especially if it's their first time.
Another example: acrylic paint on canvas 2’x3’(2 feet by 3feet) or large chart paper if you find other materials expensive or unavailable in your area.
- Oil, Acrylic, crayons/pastel, watercolor, sculptures, 3d, digital art etc (Exceptions will have to approved unanimously by the panel of Judges
- Participant must be the creator of the art and It must be your original work created after November 20th, 2022 and not a copy of another’s art and must not infringe upon any copyrighted material.
All prizes are emailed as e gift cards(Amazon/Walmart etc). In countries where e-gift cards are not accepted, a comparable gift amount will be wired to winner. If after considering all options to transfer, if transfer of gift money to winner is not possible due to some participant country's existing infrastructure reasons; a participation certificate will be emailed/mailed.
Maximum of first 200 participant entries will be considered for judging, 1 submission per child, first come first serve.
Submissions will be judged by a panel of Artists lead by K J Poulose, Kinya Christian, Susan Edgmon and more and winners will be announced within 10-20 days on December 23, 2022 or earlier.
